Handled day-to-day base operations of the Cooperative Security Location (CSL) in El Salvador. Responsible for all staff, and operation functions, including international relations, while leading over 225 military, contractors and local nationals. All this while providing direct support and force protection to aviation assets engaged in Counter-Narcotic/Illicit trafficking operations in support of Operation MARTILLO. Brief congressional delegations.Reviewed and approved all incoming and outgoing Aircraft Personnel Automated Clearance System (APACS) requests for the CSL. Worked directly with Joint Interagency Task Force-South (JIATF-S), U.S. Naval Forces Southern Command (USNAVSO), aviation squadrons and the U.S. Embassy when tasked with immediate Search and Rescue (SAR) missions.Mentored six department heads, and led the command in the preparations and passing of several high level inspections, including an environmental and an Inspector General (IG) visit. Responsible for all logistics operations aboard USS New York (LPD-21), to include supply management, inventory control, disbursement, financial management, contracting, information systems, fuel management, food service and physical distribution. Led a diverse team of over 50 Sailors and Marines in handling all day-to-day operations within the Supply department, to include mentoring to Junior Officers.Managed a $3.7M budget, responsible for $4.7M of stock inventory and custodian for over $2 million of presentation silver. Acted as the Agency Program Coordinator (APC) for the ship's execution and management of the government purchase card program. Established policies and ensured best practices were implemented. Received compliments from the Afloat Training Group (ATG) inspectors on the government credit card program.Deployed to the Mediterranean and the Persian Gulf where worked directly with the Husbanding Agents in the preparation of the ship's port visits to foreign ports. Skillfully liaise with cargo ships, FIFTH and SIXTH fleet Naval Support Activities and prime vendors in the tracking of cargo, mail and personnel. Petroleum Logistics Officer for the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Energy Europe and Africa. Responsible for the management of fuel inventories, including tanker and pipeline movements, and for the development of inventory forecast and the coordination of product orders with customer requirements. Also performed site surveys and provide recommendations for contingent fuel support.Provided direct support to the Central Command through the Northern Ground Line of Communication (GLOC) by overseeing fuel loading and delivering of more than 100 million gallons of JP8, Mogas and Avgas.Planned and executed the timely delivery over 200K gallons of jet fuel, via tank trucks, to the U.S. Air Force 52 Logistics Readiness Squadron during their training exercise to Campia Turzi, Romania. Trusted logistician who provided support for President Obama’s European visit, and also conducted pre-award surveys, Into-plane and Bunker inspections in eight different African countries.Deployed as an Individual Augmentee to Iraq where served as the Defense Energy Support Center Europe Liaison Officer. While in Iraq, facilitated the tracking and movement of fuel (JP8, AVGAS, MOGAS and Diesel) from Turkey, Jordan and Kuwait to various Forward Operating Bases throughout Iraq. In addition, helped with the coordination of transfer of authority of all Class III issues from the 316th Expeditionary Sustainment Command (ESC) to the 3rd ESC. Developed and disseminated petroleum consumption and distribution reports tracking fuel products and trucks for greater asset visibility. The reports generated, where utilized by contractors, senior logisticians and other Class III users throughout Iraq.
