I am a Senior Business Development and Grants Management Specialist with over 23 years of professional experience working with Civil Society Organizations (CSOs), mainly from the United States (U.S.) and Mexico.Since 2011, for over 13 years, I have been instrumental in transforming the grant landscape for CSOs. As a grants strategist, grant seeker, grant writer, and grants administrator, I have guided these organizations in pursuing competitive cash grants from public and private, national, and international grantmakers. My role spans all process stages, from targeting and searching to assessing, drafting, competing, securing, managing, and reporting on these grants, ensuring a significant boost to their operations and impact.My adaptability is a key strength that I have honed over the years. I have successfully managed grants, cooperative agreements, and contracts awarded by federal assistance programs offered by U.S. Government agencies such as USAID, DOS, USDA, and DHHS. Equally, I have navigated the complex landscape of grants from some of the largest United Nations (UN) specialized agencies, such as the Children's Fund (UNICEF) and the Development Programme (UNDP), as well as from the world's most prominent private foundations and philanthropic organizations, such as the Ford Foundation and W. K. Kellogg Foundation Trust.In each of my various professional collaborations, I have developed and implemented the needed tools, systems, and institutional capacities to ensure the long-term sustainability of the departments. This has resulted in significant improvements in the efficiency and effectiveness of their grant management processes.
