About Giovanni Marinoni
I’ve always been fascinated with how technology reshaped and opened up new ways in the AEC industry and in the whole building process. Infrastructures and megaprojects are crucial to the future of cities, states, and individual livelihoods. The problem is that these projects often go off the rails, either with regard to budget or time—or both. By employing ROI to assess initiatives aimed at improving the performance of individuals and teams, Building Information Modeling (BIM) provided tangible, quantifiable benefits at the project level – such as fewer RFIs – along with intangible benefits, which are more difficult to quantify.After having attended a post-graduate course (Master) about BIM Management at the Polytechnic University of Milan in 2015, I spent the last eight years working actively to build an environment where investments are prioritized for organizational effectiveness to support sustained business improvement. Since the first day, I keep observing how technology becomes invisible once it becomes ubiquitous.
