Dr Giovanni Schiuma, as a high international academic and consultant, is widely recognized as one of the world’s leading experts in organisational development and innovation, and for his work on business model innovation of arts and cultural organisations, and the strategic knowledge management for company value creation dynamics. Inspiring communicator and facilitator, with extensive research management expertise and excellent ability to coordinate complex projects, lead research teams and contribute to organisational governance. Creative and innovative, with international mind-set, network and openness to address and solve critical strategic research and organisations’ challenges. Giovanni is Director of the CLabUnibas (Centre for Entrepreneurship and Innovation Development) and Professor in Innovation Management at University of Basilicata (Italy). He has authored over 100 scholarly publications, including “The Value of Arts for Business”, published by Cambridge University Press. Giovanni chairs the International Forum of Knowledge Assets Dynamics, an international network for scholars interested in the role of knowledge and innovation for organisations value creation. He is Chief Editor of two international journals: Knowledge Management Research and Practice, published by Taylor & Francis, and Measuring Business Excellence, published by Emerald. He is Visiting Professor at Graduate School of Management of the St. Petersburg University and Chinese Culture University; Adjunct Professor at Tampere University; and he is Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts. Giovanni held the professorship chair in Arts Based Management at University of the Arts London, where he directed the Innovation Insights Hub. Giovanni served as Vice Mayor for Strategy Planning and Innovation of Matera city (European Cultural Capital 2019) from July 2015 to September 2016. He has held appointments at Cranfield School of Management, University of Cambridge, Kozminski International Business School of the University of Kozminski, and Liverpool Business School. Giovanni sits in the scientific advisory board of scientific associations and learning societies. He provides scientific support as advisor and assessor to scientific government bodies, higher education institutions, private and public corporations on research and educational projects/programs, particularly, in Europe, Asia and the Middle East.
