I founded Soldo SRL in 1996 with the clear mission to provide products and services to valve and actuator companies. In Soldo we mainly focused on designing and manufacturing limitswitch boxes for quarter turn pneumatic and hydraulic actuators, with Oil and Gas applications as specific target. We became experts in Explosion Hazardous Location equipment and related approval processes (Atex, UL, IECex, Inmetro, Gost, Nepsi, CCOE …)Since the beginning we expanded our activity also outside the Italian market. In year 2000, together with a group of USA partners , we founded Controlink , in Cincinnati (Ohio), that was responsible for our sales in North America and for some product development. In 2005 Soldo USA LLC, totally controlled by Soldo SRL, took over Controlink’s limitswitchbox and valve accessories business. During the same years Soldo expanded in many different countries , through distribution and also through direct presence in South East Asia establishing Soldo Asia Pacific PTE LTD based in Singapore.Since 2002, Soldo started its activity in wireless industrial equipment, introducing SOLDO WIRELESS brand name. In 2009, following an acquisition in the USA related to wireless business, Soldo was split in two divisions : SOLDO CONTROLS, focused on valve and actuator accessories and SOLDO WIRELESS, focused on telemetry equipment for Hazardous Location.In year 2012 Rotork plc, a UK based group specialized in valve automation and instrumentation, acquired SOLDO CONTROLS division, including the Italian factory, one of the USA ones and the Singaporean operation.I was in Soldo as Managing Director until December 2013.
