Giovanni is involved in the development of a sensor with in vivo application for improved understanding of digestion and gut fermentation, and the study of the physical interaction of polysaccharides with the gut bacteria’s membrane.

Scientific subjects tutoring (chemistry, physics, and mathematics) for Italian university and high school students.

The internship consisted of extensive laboratory work and data elaboration, preparatory to my Master's thesis: "Effect of preparation method on Indium-based materials, and their activity for CO2 hydrogenation to methanol". I dealt with sustainable catalysts for the chemical valorization of the CO2 molecule into methanol, a fundamental base-chemical in the chemical industry.

Technical and digital assistance to the mixed didactic of the first semester of the academic year 2020/2021. The tutoring consisted in the support to the professors, the academic staff and the students during the concurrent remote and face-to-face lessons and lectures.

Through collective knowledge and expertise sharing, the participants have learned the importance of systemic change, activism, and how to apply ideas to create climate-positive businesses. The Journey, held in three cities over Europe, also included the drafting of a System Innovation Plan.

The internship consisted of autonomous and supervised laboratory work and data elaboration, preparatory to the bachelor’s thesis: "Structural and Photophisic Study of Phosphorescent Organic Molecules" ("Studio strutturale e fotofisico di molecole organiche fosforescenti").
