Homologation Planning– In conjunction with lead engineering and homologation teams, oversee the development, communication and execution of homologation plans for the regional markets in order to achieve type approval of vehicle in accordance with program timing. Provide the APA vehicle product planning team, with regional regulatory and homologation process advice to support the development of product cycle plans. Develop local homologation resource and training plans to deliver the local cycle plan and assure proper homologation resourcing for regional vehicle programs. Homologation Execution & Maintenance – Participate in senior level vehicle program gateway milestone reviews and provide homologation status and supervise resolution of local homologation issues. Assess the impact of mid-program regulatory changes to the homologation plan and develop containment strategies where possible. In conjunction with Lead engineering and homologation teams, oversee conformity of production and change control processes to assure on-going compliance and validity of type approvals. Lead effort to improve quality of process, and application of global process disciplines in the region.Joint Venture Coordination – Oversee the local joint venture liaison homologation personnel and, in conjunction with engineering and product development, develop, implement and track implementation of homologation roles & responsibilities and processes as agreed between the parties.
