I believe and practice a form while designing parts or solutions, I would know which vendor am giving for manufacturing, the kind of machines be required, CNC or conventional, definite requirements of GD&T, any specific tools if required and the surface finishes ( well a lot more), I have all this in mind while designing the part itself , So that the design I achieve 90-95% of design efficiency while in POC to save time and cost.I believe that just knowing how to design the part is not enough, knowing how to get it manufactured , the machines required, estimating the costs, metallurgy and assembling sequence, testing , failure points and the most important imagination of the part or the solution working before even designing it, is very crucial to have when you are developing any hardware product.
