Key Job Responsibilities:- Administer regional and general anesthesia, local anesthesia, and nerve blocks for a diverse range of surgeries, including general, orthopedic, obstetric, gynecologic, neurologic, pediatric, and ENT procedures at Adama Hospital Medical College.- Perform precise central and peripheral IV cannulation, adhering to aseptic techniques, to ensure safe and accurate delivery of anesthesia.- Manage fluid and electrolyte levels during anesthesia administration, adapting protocols to all surgical specialties such as maxillofacial, plastic and reconstructive, thoracic, hepatobiliary, and ophthalmic surgeries.- Load and administer drugs as part of the anesthesia process, following established procedures and dosage guidelines tailored to the requirements of various surgical disciplines.- Efficiently handle critical cases during surgeries, demonstrating quick decision-making skills and maintaining composure in emergency situations across different specialties.- Utilize advanced monitoring equipment to closely observe patients in emergency, ICU, and operation rooms during surgeries, adapting to the specific demands of each specialty.- Collaborate seamlessly with surgical teams to provide specialized anesthesia support for complex procedures in various specialties, including bariatric surgeries.- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, documenting anesthesia details, drug administration, and vital signs specific to the nuances of each surgical specialty.- Participate in continuous education and training programs to stay current with advancements in anesthesia techniques and technologies relevant to diverse surgical disciplines.- Uphold strict adherence to safety protocols, infection control measures, and ethical standards while delivering anesthesia services tailored to the intricacies of Adama Hospital Medical College's surgical specialties.
