Each week, I audit the hardcopies of the various forms to ensure they have been properly completed and stored appropriately-Florida Hospital Medical Group Training: Each month I conduct security related training (Code Response, Active Shooter, Panic Alarm etc.) for the staff of the medical group. I also research and create presentation materials when needed.-Lost & Found Audit: Each month I go through the found property that we have and discard any items that have been held for an extended period of time. I also ensure that owners of property in our possession have been notified.-Hospital Incident Command Member: Backup Safety Officer: I report to Incident Command in the event of serious incident that results in its activation. I also coordinate with the Campus Supervisor in rotating our presence at Incident Command for extended incidents.

Field Training OfficerFlorida Hospital Winter Garden Jan 2016 - Nov 2017Winter Garden Florida-During a six week period, I instruct new hires to the security team in the day to day duties and responsibilities of a security officer. This training highlights performance goals and expectations of the security department as well as hospital administration. The training focuses on policy and procedures on execution of duties, managing , reporting, and documenting incidents, as well as best practices in handling interactions with patients, visitors, team member, and members of the community. Training also includes instruction on various tools, equipment, and software used by the security department (patrol vehicles, CCTV, report writing, inspection forms, access control devices, fire panel controls, restraints, personal protective equipment).-In collaboration with my manager and the Human Resources department, I assist in the interview and selection process of new hires to evaluate their potential in joining our department.-For the officers on my team, I also coach them in their day to day duties and am responsible for taking corrective action when needed. This may range from a quick conversation to address possible misunderstandings of job expectations to disciplinary action for failure to comply with policy, procedures, or job performance.-With the assistance of my manager, I meet with our officers periodically to gauge their level of engagement and address any concerns or issues that they may have.
