I have a strong desire to serve, advocate, and empower children, youth, adults, communities, groups, and families that are victims of social injustice within our society. My prior experience working with different populations in all walks of life has sharpened my educational and personal experience to enhance the quality of life while tackling social injustice.I had the opportunity to earn valuable experience and awareness of community organization and empowerment through peace walks promoting peace and awareness during high crime and violent rates in the community, fundraising activities to raise money for services and supplies for those in need. Along with personal experience, I have provided outreach and in-home assistance with child abuse, family support, health, and substance abuse services for families in need. I also have experience in working with students with intellectual, learning, and other dvelopmental disabilities within their school environment using behavior modification training. I am presently working with adults with disabilities by providing community integration training and independent living skills services so that they can enhance their self-sufficiency andindependence while achieving their desired life goals.
