I am an award winning artist, and have a career that spans the finance, corporate and arts sectors. I am a Mandarin Chinese speaker, have written for the FT, Daily Telegraph and Reuters, been commissioned by BBC 4’s From Our Own Correspondent and by a major publishing house to write an album of original music. After several years in the City where I qualified as an equity analyst focusing on Asian stock markets and covering all major industries, I then had a successful artistic career while periodically maintaining roles in corporate due diligence and investment writing in the City. As an artist I have won the Jerwood Prize for Circus and the Festival of Firsts at Linbury Studio, Royal Opera House (finalist twice), among others. I completed a postgraduate diploma in Islamic and Asian Art history with Sotheby’s and SOAS and am interested in all the arts and their cognitive and societal role. Most recently I have started an MPhil at UCL in embodied cognition. I combine this with my creative pursuits and work as a coach to postgraduate students. I also train on my ropes, sing and dance jive, salsa, ceroc and any dance I can persuade a partner to join me in. Do get in touch!
