As the Country Director for Sri Lanka, following are the main duties and responsibilities performed :• Plan, lead and coordinate the administrative, operational and strategic direction of Projects Abroad Sri Lanka• Ensure Projects Abroad Staff (including foreign staff) in Sri Lanka and foreign volunteers are properly managed and are motivated to make Sri Lanka offers sustainable, viable and worthwhile projects for volunteers and beneficiaries• Drive the workforce towards… Show more As the Country Director for Sri Lanka, following are the main duties and responsibilities performed :• Plan, lead and coordinate the administrative, operational and strategic direction of Projects Abroad Sri Lanka• Ensure Projects Abroad Staff (including foreign staff) in Sri Lanka and foreign volunteers are properly managed and are motivated to make Sri Lanka offers sustainable, viable and worthwhile projects for volunteers and beneficiaries• Drive the workforce towards continuous improvement and growth mainly through communication and motivation which entails presentations, meetings, discussions and field visits• Develop and execute operational plans addressing short term and long term requirements and manage resource allocation accordingly through funds granted by head office in UK• Maintain a strong and healthy working relationship with stakeholders such as Government Ministries, NGOs, etc• Ensure that the company is complying with all local laws and by-laws as stipulated in our operations terms of reference with authorities• Oversee and conduct periodic visits to project locations, centres and volunteer accommodations for strategic relationship building• Research and investigate new project areas for strengthening and diversity of projects• Coordinate all human resources related functions (in coordination with HR Department / Head Office) such as recruitment, performance evaluation of staff, leave management, etc.• Agree on and manage monthly budget for programme and operational expenses with the Finance Director and Head Office• Represent Projects Abroad Sri Lanka at meetings, workshops, seminars, presentations, interviews as necessary• Exposure to work with foreign nationalities and manage foreign nationalities work in Sri Lanka office• Implement Projects Abroad’s global vision and strategy from medicine and healthcare to education and conservation.
