Dr. Gitanjali G Govindrajan, Founder and Executive Director of Snehadhara Foundation (SF), is a Rehabilitation Professional (CRR No: A93207) affiliated with the Rehabilitation Council of India, a TEDx speaker, an Arts-Based Therapy (ABT) Practitioner, and an Arts Practices for Inclusion (API) Educator. With over two decades of experience in transforming lives through inclusion, therapeutic practices, and social innovation, she is a pioneering leader in education and entrepreneurship.Dr. Gitanjali holds an honorary distinction in Social Work from the LADC Institute, USA, a fellowship from the Complementary Medical Association (UK), and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Community-Based Rehabilitation. She also has a CDP-certified Diploma in Neuropsychology and is currently pursuing certification with the International Coaching Federation (ICF). A university rank holder in her Master’s in Biochemistry, her academic excellence reflects her deep commitment to advancing knowledge and applying it to create inclusive practices.As the founder of Snehadhara Foundation, an NGO dedicated to supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, Dr. Gitanjali champions Arts Practices for Inclusion (API) as a core methodology for teaching and learning. Her vision extends beyond SF, as she consults with corporates to embed Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility (DEIA) into workplace cultures, helping organizations align their strategies with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).Her groundbreaking work spans diverse sectors, collaborating with educators, psychologists, institutional leaders, and corporate teams. She also received the Creative Art Therapy Award 2020 and the Dr. Amarnath Annual Award for Inclusion in 2016. Dr. Gitanjali was the only Indian ACTIVATEE Speaker at the 45th International Association for Experiential Education (AEE) Conference in Montreal in 2017 and represented SF, which was recognized as one of six global progressive institutions by the Qatar Foundation in 2019.
