As a member of the regional leadership team, I design and oversee the implementation of Public Affairs, Communication & Marketing strategy which directly supports the commercial objectives of the market; Key Focus areas are; Communication, External relations, including Government and other key stakeholder relations, industry affairs, Publication, Brand Development, Corporate and sustainability accounting and internal and external communications. In addition, I support the global group in the development and delivery of its Africa strategy for building the profile and reputation of the organization.

I lead and mentor the communication department where I provide leadership for all communication and public affairs needs to position PS Kenya as a premier organization for lasting health change in Kenya. I am responsible for development and execution of communication and public affairs strategies that compliment and support in the formulation and implementation of all organizational objectives including resource mobilization while overseeing multi-layered strategic partnerships and the management of external relations. Leading and managing processes of strategic Corporate Communication and Public affairs/advocacy plan and activities including writing, publishing and disseminating advocacy/Public Affairs briefs. I am responsible for developing and monitoring brand guidelines and its implementation within our offices as well as implementing agencies we work with. I offer support technical support on all advocacy projects. as well as Support development and implementation of a strategy to grow income from local foundations, corporates, public sector and philanthropists while strategically positioning PS Kenya to access funding from global foundations and Corporates.

• Oversee publicity for and orchestration of corporate events and press conferences, taking the lead with the business’s PR Agency to develop all Corporate Communication material, as well as confirm on the accuracy of all material set for external dissemination;• Develop and maintain relationships with all key local and international media; personally and via the PR Agency; • Regularly conduct research and monitor legislation in region; central and county governments that could affect the company and its operations. • Protect and advocate the company’s interests with regard to current or proposed regulatory or legislative issues that may impact the organization, its customers and other stakeholders.• Build relations with Central government, Members of the National Assembly and the various County Governors including key staff and committee staff with the country and in the East Africa region. • Indentify and build relations with external parties that may be required for lobbying purpose within the region and the country. • Ability to strategically articulate products and solutions of the business and prepare appropriate write-ups and dissemination of news quality items to all target publics and stakeholders; • Ensure the existence of smooth relations between the business and key stakeholder organisations and regulatory bodies where need arises;• Coordinate all corporate events, ensuring that they conform to the approved business standard and assist in the preparation of all Communication material for the same, as well as all other meetings and seminars where the business may be a participant; • Take the lead with the business’s PR Agency to ensure strategic and effective coverage of the business in the targeted media (both traditional and new); • Continuously monitor global and local trends, review policies and objectives that impact the business – Market intelligence.

Key Responsibilities:* Developing an understanding of the internal communications needs within Telkom Kenya and across the Group* Owner of internal communications process delivery, timely and effective communication through the company* Deliver regular communication for all staff through a range of channels ensuring ease of access to communication, clarity and consistency of messages * Develop regular feedback channels to promote cross communication within the company* Play an active role in managing culture change through the delivery of key messages as well as analyzing the impact on staff* Prepare regular communication to staff with the use of creative channels such as newsletters, online publications, key messages, organizing of staff seminars, contests and convention * Coordination of communication at regional level across the company ; * Responsible for the local implementation of the communication programs developed by FT group such as the Orange rituals and any other group brand campaigns introduced

Key Responsibilities:* To undertake communication assessment need and as a result improve and implement the organisation's communication and advocacy strategy. * To Develop IEC materials and develop documentaries and short films for public consumption.* Vet and ensure that the organisation's publications and videos meet the standards and are disseminated appropriately.* Oversee the strategic development of I Choose Life-Africa website including content development, expansion and continual assessment of the innovative quality and relevance of web-based information services such as publications and news releases.* Lead the Writing of Speeches, press releases and media briefs for the organization, also undertake media advocacy.* Generate articles and success stories from project reports for publication in local and international media.* Pitch for media coverage with a view to advancing knowledge of the organization and building support among policy makers and the public.* Establish and maintain effective working relationships and communication channels with representatives of all types of media, to ensure best possible cooperation with I Choose Life-Africa

Key Responsibilities: * Guide coverage of the regional beat and comprehensively executes a broad variety of assignments, including time-sensitive breaking stories. * Develops ideas/proposals for coverage streams, special reports, and editoriallydriven custom applications ; * Solicits and edits contributions from other correspondents within the country. ; * Cultivate sources, identify important trends, and collects and verify information through a variety of online and offline channels. * Write and report tightly constructed enterprise stories for global audience
