Goal:Test the presence of a potential genetic effect in the movement behavior of juvenile eagle owls(Bubo bubo) during the post-fledging dependence period.Tasks:▪ cross-fostering experimental design;▪ radio-tracking of individuals at night;▪ data analyses using R and QGIS

Practice under the project: "THE EFFECT OF VOLE POPULATION CYCLES ON THE BOREAL FOREST ECOSYSTEM DYNAMICS (BEcoDyn)".Tasks:▪ live trapping of voles with capture mark and recapture (CMR) techniques to estimate theirabundance;▪ use of hair-traps to estimate the abundance of weasels, pine marten and other small predators;▪ pellet count from moose, other cervids, predators and small game to estimate their abundance;▪ scats collection from carnivores (red fox in particular) along road transects;▪ hair (from hair-traps) identification in the lab;▪ scats analysis in the lab in order to study the composition of food items;
