MESPAC provides accurate, reliable and global offshore metocean data, integrating satellite observations and in-situ measurements through artificial intelligence algorithms. The services are designed to support offshore wind developers in order to speed up the energy transition and increase the profitability and efficiency of the plants.

I completed my PhD within the prestigious Marine Offshore Renewable Energy Lab (MOREnergy Lab) at the Politecnico di Torino. This research group is dedicated to supporting the energy transition and decarbonization, with a key focus on the evaluation, design, and optimization of wave energy conversion devices. Within this context, my PhD work centered on identifying and implementing innovative methodologies to analyze wave-device interactions, accelerating analysis and reducing errors arising from commonly assumed simplifications.

During my time as a Visiting Researcher at the prestigious TU Delft—the university where SWAN (Simulating WAves Nearshore) was originally developed—I had the opportunity to deepen my knowledge of SWAN. This model computes wind-generated waves in coastal regions, and I developed an innovative, time-efficient approach for calibrating it with high accuracy.

I conducted research at the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering (DIMEAS) at the Politecnico di Torino, focusing on evaluating the reliability of wave climate forecasting models in the Mediterranean Sea. This opportunity was made possible by securing the Torno Subito 2019 grant, which provided six months of work experience outside the Lazio region.
