Born in Capo d'Orlando in the Province of Messina, Italy, after graduating from Bocconi University in Milan with a specialization in SME Strategy and Management and various experiences in the administrative and later marketing fields, I started my course at Irritec, the family company founded in 1974 that is now one of the world leaders in sustainable irrigation systems. Here I held organizational roles in different areas, taking over the marketing department in 2015 and dedicating myself to sustainability projects. Since 2021 I have also been a Board Member of Irritec.Environmental protection, optimization of water consumption, respect for crops and the natural ecosystem are my mission. And my passion. A mission and a passion that I support every day not only within Irritec but also as a Board Member of the European Irrigation Association and through constant dialogue with the competent institutions.In 2018, I was among the speakers at the 18th Infopoverty World Conference, held every year in New York City at the UN headquarters, to present innovative solutions designed to fight poverty and achieve the SDGs. Starting from this wonderful experience, with Irritec we have also joined the UN Global Compact, which recognized Irritec’ s commitment by selecting me as the 2021 Global SDG Pioneer for sustainable water management.In 2020, on the occasion of the 17th edition of "DonnAttiva" I had the honor of receiving the "DonnaAttiva2020" award for the "ability to combine work ethic and solid family traditions with technological innovation as a driving force for the entire territory and contributor to social welfare". On this occasion I was able to confirm Irritec's commitment to ensuring equal treatment between men and women, allowing everyone to express themselves to the fullest. A commitment that has also led me to join "Le Donne dell'Ortofrutta", an Italian association of women in the fruit and vegetable sector. I am also a member of the board of Confapi Sicilia with responsibility for equal opportunities and "no discrimination".I have always been passionate about art, especially photography and cinema, I am Vice President of SalinaDocFest and I have taken part in various film productions.Since 2019 I am mother of the beautiful Niccolò.
