• Deliver frontline support and training for Asuragen products: AmplideX PCR/CE FMR1 kit, AmplideX PCR/CE mPCR kit, AmplideX PCR/CE c9orf72, AmplideX DM1 Dx kit, AmplideX PCR/CE HTT kit, AmplideX SMA Plus kit. • Analysis of PCR/CE (PCR and Capillary Electrophoresis) results using GeneMapper and specific Excel programs. • Manage and resolve customer support issues.• Define, document, and develop the support processes.• Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers.• Analyze support case trends and reporting back to the product team to help improve the product.

- To aid in the preparation of Technical Files compliant to IVDR (2017/746) requirements for new and existing products. - To perform any additional activities required by IDS to prepare existing products for regulatory submission for the IVDR.- To conduct scientific literature searches to demonstrate that the company's IVDs are scientifically valid. - To write protocols detailing the methodology to be used for the scientific paper search and the criteria used for the inclusion and exclusion of papers. - To write scientific validity reports summerising the literature search and to justify the validity of IDS and Dia.Metra assays.

The traineeship consisted in exploiting an ultrahigh -throughput screening previously developed by Dr.Michael Ryckelynck's team, in the view of identifying RNA aptamers able tospecifically inhibit a target enzyme, especially those conferring antibiotic resistance to pathogenic bacteria. The interniship was mainly focused on molecular biology of RNA (e.g. in vitro transcription, purification), enzymology (enzyme activity characterization) and droplet-basedmicrofluidics. I also had the chance to learn how to fabricate, qualify and use microfluidic chips. Finally, using these chips, RNA-coding gene libraries were analysed (up to 10 million variants per day) in the search of inhibitory molecules.

During the Master Degree I had the chance to spend one year and a half as part of a research group lead by Dr. Giuseppe Servillo (Department of Experimental Medicine), focusing my studies on molecular oncology as well as molecular biology. In particular, the subject of my experimental Master’s thesis was focused on the study of the role of HOPS (Hepatocyte Odd Protein Shuttling), a transmembrane ubiquitin like protein able to undergo a nucleus-cytoplasm shuttling, as an important factor involved in cell proliferation and tumour development.
