I coordinate the Middle East & Africa Department of ALDA, overseeing the management of all projects implemented in the Southern shore of the Mediterranean (Tunisia, Morocco, Algeria, Libya) and in the Mashreq area (Turkey, foreseen in Palestine, Lebanon and Jordan). Our projects focus on citizens participation and local democracy, keeping gender equality, youth involvement and sustainable development as transversal axes.Main projects:- PARFAIT project (ENI/2017/386-999) to reinforce women participation in politics at the local level in Tunisia,DEVOTE project (Erasmus+ KA2) to reinforce the integration of students with migrant backgrounds,- AUTREMENT project (CSO-LA/2019/408-986) to support sustainable mobility and citizens participation in Tunisia,- THE:PLACE programme (funded by Mercator Foundation) to favour EU-Turkish and CSO-LA cooperation,- WE ACT project (NDICI-THE-NEAR/2022/437-078) to reinforce women participation in politics at the local level in Turkey, where I delivered two 2-day training sessions on participatory democracy.In this role, I am also co-head of the French Network of the Anna Lindh Foundation, managing a national network of more than 100 members dedicated to intercultural dialogue in the Euro-Mediterranean region.To contribute to the strategy of ALDA in this area, I support as well the Local Democracy Agencies located in Kairouan (Tunisia), Edremit (Turkey) and Tétouan (Morocco), in the development of their activities, and carry out research and partnership building tasks.

I was in charge of the initial legal orientation and counseling for the asylum seekers hosted by the Cooperative. Upon new arrivals, I organised the groups per language and provided newcomers with key information about their rights and the asylum procedure in Italy, as well as local cultural background. I then followed individually each asylum seeker up to their interview with the Commission for asylum and many cases up to their hearing at the Tribunal, collaborating with the lawyers in organising the material and coaching a total of 150 asylum seekers.
