About Giulia Zia
Giulia Zia was born in 1987 in Pordenone, Italy. She had always a passionate interest in art and design, which she began developing from early age. Fascinated by Northern Europe, looking for new inspiration and to improve her abilities, in 2010 she moved to Amsterdam, The Netherlands. After 10 years of experience abroad, working for internationally renowned design studios, in 2020 she moved to Treviso, where she opened with her partner Mauro Martinuzzi Studio Zazi.Their experience is diversified between product design for major international brands, design and relationships with design galleries and collectors of works linked to the territory and artisan skills, up to the curation of brands from the logo design up to the interiors of their brand store.

Senior Designer
In 2013 the collaboration with the Edward van Vliet Studio began. With a visionary approach, the firm creates different concepts, characterized by an approach rich in culture and meticulous attention to detail. From his inspiration I learned to combine colors, materials, patterns, lights and shapes in each project. The main part in the Studio is the products design. Products designed forcompanies or self-produced collections made by different worldwide artisans. My role soon became Edward van Vliet's head designer and personal assistant.

In 2011 I collaborated with Lonneke Gordijn and Ralph Nauta of Studio Drift. I was in charge of the technical and stylistic aspects of the projects Fragile Future and Fly Light. Together with the team I was responsible for the production and installation of the sculptures at fairs, galleries and private homes. These experiences have contributed in increasing the organizational spirit and responsibility of the project.
