Giulia Carlone has a PhD in Urban, Regional and Landscape planning and design at the University of Florence. Her doctoral thesis tackled the issue of the integration of landscape in the city planning and design dealing with the role of landscape in contemporary city project. She is a founding member of Izmo - made to gather and since 2011 she collaborate as researcher with the Politecnico di Torino. Her field of interest and work is Urban Planning and Design, Landscape planning, and participatory process for population involvement in the decision making processes and local community awareness-raising about their landscapes.She received a Master’s Degree in Architecture in 2008 from the Politecnico di Torino and she has been working in the architecture field since 2004 with various collaborations in Turin, Milan and Paris. In 2009 she obtained a Postgraduate Degree in Landscape Architecture: New Use for Ancient Territory, at Barcelona UPC in collaboration with the Italian Center of Architecture.
