Supporting SCIAF, upon request, particularly with regard to the following items:- Providing quality assurance support to the Contract and Programme Managers of the CJC programme Rwanda in the preparation of key deliverables to be submitted to the Donor;- Assisting the Contract and Programme Managers in delivering the scoping phase to set up SCIAF CJC programme (worth £8 million and implemented in Rwanda), with a focus on developing the programme Mobilisation Plan, Theory of Change, KPIs and Milestones;- Participated in the development of a successful proposal to receive up to £8 million from the Scottish Government’s Climate Justice Fund to support work with Rwandan communities on their priorities to tackle climate change and climate injustice;- Participated in the development of a successful project proposal funded by the Guernsey Overseas Aid and Development Commission, and aimed to increase the resilience of 300 (60% female) small-scale farmers in Eastern Rwanda;- From April to December 2022: Contributed to the day-to-day management of the Rwanda project portfolio (review monitoring reports, check implementing partners’ compliance with SCIAF and donors’ requirements, assess completed projects).

Evaluation of the UN Women’s Peace and Humanitarian Fund (WPHF):- Contributed to the inception phase with the development of the evaluation methodology, including all data collection tools;- Responsible for data collection and analysis for one in-country mission (Uganda) and one remote case study (DRC);- Responsible for survey data collection and analysis targeted to WPHF staff in Country Offices;- Contributed to the overall analysis and to writing sections of the final evaluation report.

Evaluation of the EU funded project WIN – Trafficked Women Integration (value over €300.000):• Carried out preliminary desk review to prepare the evaluation (evaluation approach and timeline, data collection instruments), and drafted the inception report;• Managed the data collection and analysis phases: conducted individual interviews with key informants; administered an online survey in English, Italian and Spanish;• Drafted the evaluation report based on triangulated findings; developed conclusions and recommendations; finalised the report integrating comments from the staff;• Delivered a presentation focused on conclusions and recommendations during the final Project Steering Committee meeting.

Evaluation of Phase III of the UNFPA-UNICEF joint programme on the abandonment of Female Genital Mutilation (FGM):• Conducted scoping interviews with key programme staff and developed the methodology section for the inception report;• Responsible for the data collection, synthesis, and analysis of three programme countries (Guinea, Kenya, and Mali): conducted desk review of programme documents and remote key informant interviews with key stakeholders; • Designed, coordinated the administration, and analysed the results of two web-based surveys in three languages (English, French, and Arabic) targeting the programme staff and the implementing partners across 17 countries;• Designed and analysed the results from a poll using the UNICEF U-Report tool conducted in four programme countries (Burkina Faso, Mali, Nigeria, Uganda), to collect youths knowledge and attitude towards FGM;• Drafted selected sections of the evaluation report, including findings, conclusions, and recommendations;• Contributed to the preparation of PowerPoint presentations to present preliminary findings, conclusions and recommendations to the client.

Mid-term review of the UN Women flagship programme initiative ‘Stimulating Equal Opportunities for Women Entrepreneurs’ implemented by UN Women HQ, South Africa and UAE offices: • Conducted desk review of programme documents; • Arranged all the interviews with key informants and focus group discussions for the data collection, and wrote interviews and FGDs’ notes; • Designed an online survey targeting South Africa women entrepreneurs and analysed the survey results;• Contributed to the data analysis and the final report writing;• Developed a Power Point presentation for the client on the MTR methodology, findings, conclusions and recommendations.

- Supported SCIAF in developing and piloting a monitoring and evaluation tool to assess changes in the wellbeing of project participants, based on the concept of Integral Human Development, and developed guidelines to apply the tool in the context of new projects. - Designed the monitoring evaluation and learning framework for a successful DFID-UK Aid March project proposal on prevention of gender-based violence in DRC.

Responsible for the successful implementation of the UK Aid Match grant ‘Improving well-being of 2,000 small-scale farmer households in 25 villages of DRC, Malawi and Rwanda through increased food and income security, enabling gender equality and resilience to climate change’.3-year DFID-funded livelihood programme implemented by 4 national NGOs. The grant was accompanied by an evaluation project jointly managed by DFID, SCIAF and an independent consultancy company.• Oversaw the programme progress and achievements through the implementing partners’ narrative and financial reports, regular communications with them, visits to the implementation sites, and interaction with the project participants;• Ensured the compliance with the grant requirements by carrying out policy and finance checks with the implementing partners, and supporting their capacity building in various domains such as monitoring evaluation and learning, finance, ICT including the use of digital data collection tools;• Timely submitted the progress reports and other management documents to the donor, and attended the follow up meetings with them;• Managed the working relations with the consultancy company contracted on the joint evaluation project, by acting as the main contact person, organising monthly meetings, providing regular updates and logistics support in the organisation of data collections overseas; • Finalised the baseline analysis and report, and the Monitoring Evaluation and Learning plan for the programme; assisted the implementation of the mid-term review and final evaluation;• Organised and facilitated an Experience Exchange Workshop overseas, attended by 20 participants from the 4 implementing partners.

Pro bono advisor of a small team of young entrepreneurs developing an algorithm called Green Ranking®, a tool to rank products and processes according to their impact on environment and human health. The algorithm combines data regarding different variables (such as work ethic, CO2 emissions, and waste management) into a single score, with the aim to provide an objective and comprehensive analysis of the environmental impact of a product/process.

Distance Support Project (DSP): privately sponsored project, providing basic education and health assistance to about 4,500 Ugandan Orphans and Vulnerable Children (OVCs) through local Implementing Partners (IPs). • Managed the communications flow to AVSI headquarters and DSP sponsors, about the 4,500 children receiving sponsorship; • Managed the working relationships with four IPs and monitored their activities; • Supported the capacity building of DSP and IPs staff by organising and facilitating workshops and meetings;• Supervised and mentored four members of the national staff and several Italian interns;• Assisted the Project Manager in formulating the strategy, planning and budgeting the activities;• Provided organisational support by standardising DSP procedures and overseeing their correct execution.

Project ‘Developing Tourism in Northern Montenegro’: MAE (Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs) funded project, accompanying the improvement of mountain tourism in Northern Montenegro through the creation of a hostel and the promotion of various activities. • Developed informative material about the hostel to target potential managers of the activity amongst local entrepreneurs;• Drafted the terms of tender for the management of the hostel on behalf of the Local Administration, legal owner of the building, for a public bid; • Led field research about local food products and traditional methods of local food production to inform new project proposals.

Project ‘Sustainable Economic Initiatives in Sigsipamba - Pimampiro’: EU-funded project, supporting the economic development of rural households in Sigsipamba Parish, Northern Ecuador, through various activities including training, and the construction of a food laboratory to process fruit to benefit a cooperative of smallholder farmers. • Co-directed the construction of the laboratory for processing food, by advising on the project development and carrying out various logistical tasks;• Facilitated training sessions for the members of the cooperative on the application of the Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) as a protocol to control food risk and safety in the food chain, followed-up by practical training and continuous assistance during the actual processing activity in the laboratory;• Performed desk research for the Organisation headquarters, to collect secondary data for project proposals development.
