I excelled in a diverse range of responsibilities. I managed the online menu, ensuring a seamless customer experience. Leveraging social media, I posted engaging Instagram stories for enhanced brand visibility. My creativity extended to designing in-store advertisements. Additionally, I organized successful event. I Managed stakeholder relationships with brands we carried. I skillfully scheduled and executed brand in-store pop-ups, attracting new customers and driving growth.

I started a personal brand called, Auntie Giu Giu [ju-ju]. I have created a persona that embraces west coast and hip-hop/r&b style influences into a lifestyle. I market merchandise(shirts) and they just so happen to have my face on them. Instagram, Facebook and Snapchat are the social media platforms I utilize to showcase and market my product. I do styling, customer relations, social media marketing, packaging and ordering for my personal business. I am a content creator that creates engagement with my audience. Auntie Giu Giu has created organic influencers and posts with my customers and followers that embrace wearing my product. I started in January 2017 and currently have sold about 80 currently as of May 2017.

"The Uptown Business District is a property-based, Business Improvement District(BID) in the heart of North Long Beach, CA. The Uptown Business District is funded through property based assessments levied to property owners within its boundaries. All assessments collected are utilized to provide programs and services that benefit district property owners and businesses. The district is situated along the Atlantic Ave. and Artesia Blvd. transportation corridors and is home to over 140 businesses."I Worked directly with the executive director, Tasha Hunter, and assisted the organization with social media, newsletters, clerical work, interviews, photography, graphic design and helped with web design. I also attended meetings and events as a representative for the Uptown Business Improvement District.

Part-time Public Relations Manager for the visioning process for the first African AmericanCultural Center to open in Long Beach. This was for a short term project. I conducted focus groups with our target demographic. Researched and executed the original final report of our research to the City of Long Beach. Tasks included clerical work, research, surveys, photography, reports, and events

I interned for the Long Beach Branch NAACP with their public relations.These tasks include helping out with tasks internally in the branch, taking photos at their programs and/or events, press releases and writing short stories.

When I was an active full-time intern I was doing many tasks directly under the instruction of President Naomi Rainey-Pierson, of the Long Beach NAACP. These tasks included event planning, press releases, e-mail newsletters, preparing programs and documents. I was involved in getting people together for events such as the Urban Ocean Festival at Long Beach Aquarium of the Pacific and the Martin Luther King Jr. Parade on behalf of the LB Branch NAACP. This internship taught me a lot about all the work that goes into a non-profit organization to make it successful.
