About Giulio Donati Sarti

Geomatics Technician experienced in Geographic Information Systems (GISs), Cartography and Land Surveys; with more than seven years of experience in the acquisition, processing, analysis and representation of a wide range of spatial data. During these years I have acquired a multi-disciplinary and multi-scalar view of territory, actors, and flows that allows me to carry out spatial analysis in a critical manner.The educational and work choices I have pursued have been guided by my passion toward the application and experimentation of information technology tools applied to the territory.I graduated in Geography and Territorial Sciences at the University of Turin (MSc) and in Urban, Territorial and Landscape Planning at the University of Florence (BSc).I am currently attending the University Master's Program in Geomatics at the Center for GeoTechnology (UNISI).As a researcher at the Polytechnic of Turin (POLITO) I worked on the application of Laser Scanners, Photogrammetry, Multispectral images and Artificial Intelligence (AI) for agro-forestry field. Additionally, I carry out activities as a cartographer and GIS Specialist, during which I manage spatial databases and data representation with graphic software.Most of my work is based on the use of the following tools:GIS: QGIS and ArcGIS Pro;Photogrammetry: Metashape and 3DF Zephyr;LiDAR: RealWorks, CloudCompare and LiDAR360;Remote Sensing: Google Earth Engine and ENVI;Programming: Python, R, HTML and CSS;Graphics: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Blender.
