The first of a family of material systems conceived for complex forms, Wood-Skin ™highlights the research team's dedication to digital fabrication processes and innovative material solutions. The team's competencies span over architecture and design projects, research and innovation, and external consultancy. Wood-Skin Srls has developed partnerships with leading experts across various industries for investigations in new materials, interaction technology, digital fabrication, and software design. Using applications of building innovation technologies from several disciplines allows the team to create custom solutions for unique design challenges.

Internationally recognized photographers of theatre and the arts, Silvia Lelli and Roberto Masotti joined forces to form Lelli e Masotti when they began collaborating with Teatro alla Scala in 1979. Both born in Ravenna, they completed their studies in Florence and moved to Milan in 1974. Since then, in their work they have explored the performing arts and in particular music, producing photographs presented in exhibitions, installations and publications. Their subjects include such renowned artists as Keith Jarrett, Miles Davis, Demetrio Stratos, Frank Zappa, Jan Garbarek, Franco Battiato, Arvo Pärt, John Cage, Pina Bausch, Tadeusz Kantor, Pier’Alli, Merce Cunningham, Claudio Abbado, Leonard Bernstein, Riccardo Muti, Giuseppe Sinopoli, Sylvano Bussotti, Maurizio Pollini, Kim Kashkashian, Placido Domingo, Carla Fracci, Karlheinz Stockhausen and Luciana Savignano, to name just a few.Lelli e Masotti have developed an aptitude for the stage and have used video as a means of multidisciplinary expression on several occasions with works devoted to nature, the landscape and theaters of Italy, orchestra conductors, John Cage and the piano. Their vast archive is an inexhaustible source of images for the publishing and recording industries. Collaborations with: Orchestra Filarmonica della Scala since its formation in 1982, Festival del Quartetto and Premio Borciani in Reggio Emilia, Festival MITO/Milan, Rome’s Teatro dell’Opera, Ravenna Festival, Orchestra Giovanile Luigi Cherubini and the Salzburg Festival.

Creative Thinking and problem solver for design and architecture //MammaFotogramma studio was born from a common interest in hybrid approaches to, and the complexities of, animation. It was through animated film that our studio took its first steps at the beginning of 2008. Soon after we expanded our portfolio to include traditional audiovisual production, interactive design projects and public installations. This creative diversity was achieved thanks to the heterogeneous nature of team's skill set. Our present focus explores the potential infinite potential of user participation through moving images, as well as composite structures that touch, envelope and live in 360 degrees. The experience of working with our hands guides each adventure, and compels us to confront and communicate the expressive qualities of the material. In building miniature sets and photographing real puppets we hope to share this passion with the audience, and to offer them a parallel reality, metaphysical or "other", where they can rediscover the beauty of a job done "workman-like".
