Developed semiconductor detectors at room temperature for medical, synchrotron radiation and nuclear non-proliferation applications. He has been involved in R&D of CdZnTe and CdMgTe and in the development of CdZnTe detectors and material characterization of CdZnTe crystals including stoichiometry, dislocations, and strains, using synchrotron radiation. He has authored over 90 scientific technical papers related to the detectors developments and material characterizations. He won three R&D 100 awards in 2005 “CZT Frisch-grid gamma detectors”, 2009 “Compact Gamma Camera for High-resolution Imaging of Prostate Cancer” and 2014 “GammaScout – A Novel Spectroscopic CdZnTe Detector Array for High-Spatial-Resolution Imaging of X- and Gamma-Rays”, which honors the top 100 inventions of the year.Possesses leadership capabilities, strong analytical, written, and oral communication skills.
