The product development activities coordinated by me has generated, during the period 1999-2002, a complete catalogue of laboratory reagents. I also actively promoted the participation of Innosense to research and development projects in the context of regional, national and European calls (two European projects, one national and one regional).5 patent applications: 1. New Fluorescent Cyanine Labels Containing a Sulfamido Linker Arm, 2. Improved Process and Method for the Preparation of Asymmetric Monofuctional Indocyanine Labelling Reagents and Obtained Compounds, 3. General method for the covalent immobilisation of indicators in or onto a support useful for the fabrication of optical sensors, 4. Junior researcher at the Diagnostics Division of the company, working on the development of two immunodiagnostic assays for the detection of insulin and growth hormone. In the same year I attended the Course on Management and Communication organized by ISVOR on behalf of SNIA BPD.In September 1992 I moved to the Research Group of the Cardio Division of Sorin. I worked on co-financed national projects on intravenous miniaturized chemical sensors (1992-1993) and biosensors for biochemical parameters in the field of health (1993-1996) writing also the periodic reports. I have also worked on the development of a sensor for continuous measurement of urea during dialysis in a joint project with the manufacturer of dialysis machines Bellco SpA. In 1995 following a reorganization of the Sorin group the Central Research was created and I have worked as a researcher until 1998 on several projects: anti-calcification chemical treatments for tissue heart valves, biodegradable de-foamer for oxygenators, vascular prosthesis coated with bioabsorbable polymers, development of a system for capturing antibodies in plasma apheresis and synthesis of a new class of near-infrared fluorescent markers for immunoassays and PCR.3 patent applications: 1. A method and a system for measuring the concentration of a substance in a fluid, and the use thereof, 2. A method and equipment for detecting physico-chemical parameters, 3. Sulfo Benz[e]indocyanine Fluorescent Dyes.
