This role is responsible for the delivery of compliance functions with European supply partners.• Develop audit strategy with Quality Assurance and Supply Chain Managers.• Lead and manage the compliance and QA teams in the execution of all quality and compliance related SOPs including spray diary, residues and market access protocols.• Manage ZGS Quality Assurance Manager and ensure that Zespri quality systems are adhered to by all suppliers and that they function as designed for delivery of fruit to market within Zespri standards.• Manage the Compliance and Market Access Advisor and Crop Protection and Biosecurity Advisor and all operations relating to compliance with Crop Protection Programmes (CPP), MRL tolerances, international regulation and Zespri customer and market requirements.• Liaise regularly with NZ based quality managers to ensure ZGS remains up to date and consistently compliant with changing global market standards.• In collaboration with Supply Chain Manager and Quality Assurance Manager build a relationship with ZGS suppliers’ quality and post-harvest management teams to build improved processes and outputs for optimal class I packouts.• Liaise with ZGS Pre and Post Harvest Operations Manager to ensure timely and accurate information flow for all fruit quality or market restrictions issues.• Liaise with ZGS Supply Chain Manager to minimise any quality or compliance related market restrictions and assist with timely market communication in each direction.• Assist Supply Chain Manager with communication to suppliers regarding fruit quality in market.• Build a strong rapport with key phytosanitary departments in each ZGS EU country of origin.• Build a strong rapport with each of the Operations Managers to ensure quick response to intercheck and market claim resolution.
