I am accountable for Global Supply Chains (GSC) (8 plants, warehouses and various logistic and transportation contractors) and for the MEKSA cluster. Enrolled in different Communities of Practices across bp, I enable translating Operational Management System (OMS) requirements and transferring best practices, in an agile way to the organization. I am a Skillful Investigator and deployed to coach local teams to get the outmost from Root Cause Analysis to prevent incidents reoccurring, by implementing a thorough decision-making process and structured actions follow-up. Equally by strengthening the focus on continuous risk monitoring and barriers status and conditions review, we enable the plants to improve the risk management process and bring the “how do you know” question on risks to become part of the daily operational routine. All the above, together with CI projects I lead, for example man- machine segregation, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) standardization, Focused Safety Conversation program contribute to 50% reduction in recordable injuries, small spills, and property damages (2021 vs 2020). Great progress also on the Sustainability agenda, to name a few, 1170 TCO2/ year saved in CF (Customer Fulfillment, roughly 40 projects in the pipeline, 25% measured so far).

By establishing a Believe in Zero culture, empowered the line to take ownership and achieve a significant reduction in incidents, in the area of Warehousing, Logistics and Transportation (2020-2021 injuries free, -50% spills, vehicle accidents 2020 vs 2019). I took the lead of the Sustainability agenda, with various interventions – including contractors - aligned with Castrol strategy, starting to provide tangible benefits in terms of CO2 emissions cut, and waste reduction. I was covering the C&CM role for some months, and I provided great support for Europe particularly with the recent COVID19 situation interacting with both local and global teams, achieving a structured and consistent implementation of the PRPs (Pandemic Response Plans). Furthermore, I was the coordinator for the Prolonged IT Outage project (still currently active), I have enabled the organization to prepare meaningful BIAs (Business Impact Analysis) and associated contingency plans.

Acting as the Global Subject Matter Expert to Transportation, in a key global HSSE project on contractor safety, and by influencing high performing and challenging peers, we have achieved improvement both in type and number of injuries. Being the lead at global level of the Field inspections program, I enabled all stakeholders to contribute to finding the gaps before they find us. We have achieved the program to be almost a self-running machine, accomplishing a better transfer of the learnings, and an improved understanding of how effectively we manage HSSE risks. Under my leadership the Powered Mobile Equipment project made a step change, I set clear expectations, the team were much more collaborative and active and were empowered to positively contribute to the outcome, resulting in the definition of a portfolio of engineering solutions, which led to improved site traffic management plans.

I led improvement of safety performance, demonstrated by steep reduction in incidents over years. I raised the bar leading continuous Improvements projects (Load Securing, Bulk deliveries, safety contractor Management). I provided HSSE training (Safety Observations Conversations, Self-verification, Working with Contractors, Energy Isolation, etc.), various support and coaching activities to local teams. I contributed - being a lead ISO/OMS auditor- to our license to operate (still currently active).

I joined BP Solar in 2010 as Italy HSSE manager.Since January 2012 I take over EU HSSE responsabilities. Activities I perform include gap assessment to BP standards (CoW, IM, OMS, Contractor Management), and risk assessments for operations and projects (PTW, LOTO).My aim is focused on implementing a strong safety culture and practice (SOC) on the solar farm projects which BP Solar is developing across the EU (2010 project value $200M). My key activities are safety policy development in line with BP requirements, business and project risk assessment, selection of contractors, selection of managers, auditing of sites, incident investigation and incident management. I work closely with project developers, managers and engineers to ensure that BP HSSE requirements are integrated into the projects at all stages.

I was committed as HSSE auditor during the Outage for the 800 MW Combined Cycle Power Plant in Gissi - Italy. Activities I performed included Safety Method of Statements and Operational Safety Plans preparation/review/validation (CoW), External Companies Qualification and Documentation Checks, HSSE Audits during the Works Execution, Regulatory Compliance Insurance.

I was committed as HSSE Coordinator (Legal Authority) during the Outage for the 800 MW Combined Cycle Power Plant in Termoli - Italy (project value €25M). Activities I performed included Safety Coordination Plan Issue and Review, Method of Statements and Operational Safety Plans preparation/review/validation, PtW and LOTO, External Companies Qualification and Documentation Checks, HSSE Audits during the Works Execution, Activities Coordination and Planning.

I was committed as Punch List and Warranty Manager after the PAC at the 800 MW Combined Cycle Power Plant in Termoli - Italy (project value €400M). Activities I performed included management of 4000 punch items and of 180 warranty claims. My tasks were to organize and implement works on site, including coordination and supervision; ensure efficient levels of performance, minimize costs and meet established deadlines, projects specifications, ensuring the respect of HSSE and quality procedures and practices, and EPC compliance.

I was committed as QA/QC support and Permitting Manager during Construction at the 800 MW Combined Cycle Power Plant in Termoli - Italy (project value €400M). Activities I performed included management of technical documentation (QA/QC, O&M’s Manuals, etc.), preparation and follow-up of notifications and permits.

I was committed as Technical Service Manager in a Health Care Devices Company.
