Giuseppe Grande is Deputy Head of the Market and Payment Systems Oversight Directorate of the Bank of Italy. He is a member of the Italian delegation to the OECD Committee on Financial Markets and of its steering committee. He is on the scientific committee of LTI@UniTO and a member of Società Italiana di Economia.He has a degree in Economics and Business at Sapienza Università di Roma and a M.A. in Economics at Université Catholique de Louvain (Belgium). He pursued post-graduate studies also at Paris I (France) and was visiting student at Harvard University (USA).He joined the Bank of Italy in 1992 to work in the monetary policy unit. He was Head of the Financial Markets Unit, Head of the Financial Analysis Division and a member of working groups on financial markets, institutional investors and systemic liquidity risk established by the Committee on the Global Financial System. He represented Italy in the G20 Investment and Infrastructure Working Group. He led the monetary policy component of an EU twinning programme for the Bank of Albania. He has published research on macroeconomic and financial issues.
