Project: Airborne Localisation of Small UAS using Visual Detection

The Drone Team was initiated by a group of students, including myself, interested in designing and building an autonomous UAV drone to analyse and evaluate the status of vineyard grapes for wineries; aiming to improve the efficiency of their wine production. Weekly meetings and regular workshops are held throughout the semester to discuss the project and work on the drone.Throughout my time, I have researched, learned and implemented programming framework for the drone as well as prepared agendas and recorded minutes for weekly meetings in a timely manner. I have confidently promoted the project to large audiences during social events and effectively assisted with the recruitment of new team members. This experience has helped me develop initiative skills and adaptability, particularly when having to quickly learn new skills for tasks I had minimal to no prior experience. Also, I have demonstrated good communication skills, teamwork, and self-management skills. Show less

Peer Assisted Study Session (PASS) are weekly 1-hour classes for students to consolidate their knowledge of the course material they learned in lectures and tutorials and an opportunity for them to evaluate their understanding. I facilitate sessions for groups up to 25 students, planning and organising activities related to the course material to benefit their understanding.
