MOTORS & Generators Division of ABB - Responsible of research and development, explosion-proof medium voltage induction motors (Atex, IEC-Ex).Main activities: - Coordination of the research and development team (for a maximum of 23 coordinated resources) composed of project managers, product specialists in the electrical / mechanical field and configuration of sales / production tools.- Allocated budget management and reporting activities.- R&D Project management by using the Gate model and Agile project Management.- Coordination with other company functions (SCM, Operations, Quality) for the planning of prototyping and testing activities of new products under development.- Definition of the requirements of new products by using the Design to Value methodology in close collaboration with Product Management and Sales.- Maintenance activities and technical support to ABB MV electric motors production sites (Finland, Italy, China)Responsible for the coordination of the Global Technical Support Italian team (included within the R&D organization until December 2018) with the purpose of supporting sales globally.

From July 2011 to October 2013: ABB S.p.A. Quality and Environmental Manager at ABB S.p.A. production site in Vittuone (MI).The activity is focused both on process controls related to the production of low and medium voltage electric motors and on the aspects of maintaining certifications (ISO, ATEX, IRIS) and supplier qualifications.Within the same quality function there is an after-sales support unit called WHU (Warranty Handling Unit) for customer support purposes during the warranty period and beyond.Main activities: - Coordination of activities within the quality team (12 people).- Management and preparation of audits by external bodies for the maintenance of ISO 9001-14001, IRIS, ATEX certifications.- Management and preparation of internal audits to maintain quality requirements present in the company quality manual.- Drafting of new procedures and changes to existing ones in the field of product / process quality control.- Qualifications external suppliers both in Italy and abroad (mainly China, India, Europe)- Visits to customers in case of problems arising after product installation.- (June 2012) Creation of the after-sales support organization (WHU) and definition of tools for the management of warranty and out-of-warranty cases.- Using the 8D methodology for the analysis of the causes of failure and implementation of the Lean six Sigma and Continuous improvement principles for the improvement of processes / products.

Head of Project Management team, medium voltage motors and generators developed and produced at the ABB site in Vittuone (MI) with responsibility for the direct management of special projects for Ge Oil & Gas and SAIPEM (ENI).Main activities: - Functional coordination of the project management team composed of 11 project managers.- Drafting and maintenance of procedures related to the management of orders.- Direct management of specific projects in direct contact with the customer.- Kick off meeting with customers for the definition of scope of supply and planning.- Assessment of the technical feasibility and related economic impact in case of changes requested by the customer during constructionFrom June 2005 to April 2009: Project manager ABB Sace s.p.a.production site of Vittuone (MI) line Explosion Proof Machines (Exd) and Large Machines. The activity is focused on the management of orders for explosion-proof industrial electric motors operating in OGP field, provides for the control of both the technical aspects related to the development of the machines and the economic evaluations deriving from changes during construction. The mentioned activity is supported by using of computer systems such as SAP and specific programs developed within the company.- Reference Project Manager for Ge-Nuovo Pignone dedicated to the management of all orders for medium voltage electric motors.- Assigned geographical areas Japan, Germany, USA, France, Spain, UK.- Management of projects with large order volumes (5-10 M€) for customers such as SAIPEM, SHELL, GeOil&Gas, Fowserve, Atlas Copco, MAN Turbo.- IT tools used to carry out activities, Autocad, Office package, SAP, specific tools developed internally by the company.
