The Hotel Director on board plans, coordinates and controls the operation of the Hotel organization. He directs the function of all Hotel personnel through the management of department heads.Ensures the highest level of guest satisfaction by providing quality guest services and amenities within corporate standard.Establishes and maintains effective internal communications including regular department head meetings to ensure optimum teamwork and productivity.Implements the business and operating budget plans to ensure an on-going basis optimum total guest satisfaction, sales potential and profitability. Establishes and maintains a prominent level of visibility and involvement throughout the vessel and in business, social and governmental communities as appropriate.

In this position I was responsible of managing and supervising the Ship's Hotel operations and the quality of service, complying with MSC Standard Procedures and protocols, directly reporting to the Hotel Director. Main responsibility was also analyzing the comment forms scores and actively provides support in solving any issue; supervising all events and attending Guests cocktail parties.

The Food and Beverage Manager is responsible for the overall operations of all food and beverage outlets on the cruise ship.Managing food and beverage operations within budget and to the highest standards. In this position, I was in charge of ensuring the HACCP quality control practices, even managing and supervising all the inspections and audits held by local authority on a business’ food handling practices.

Managing and overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department;Monitoring and analyzing accounting data and produce financial reports or statements;Establishing and enforcing proper accounting methods, policies and principles.

The Crew Purser is responsible for all financial matters onboard a cruise ship, accounting, immigration issues, administration of crew wages.In this position, I was responsible for managing and expediting all the practices (including accounting and salary) and documents relating to the crew: contracts for enrollment, passports, permits, immigration, embarkation and disembarkation of personnel; crew working hours.

The Shorex Manager has an exciting responsibility to manage our onboard Shore Excursions Program and deliver excellent guest service, while maintaining established quality goals. By the way, it needs a clear understanding of revenue and ratings goals for the department, and how to achieve them. In this position, I was in charge of managing the Shore Excursion desk, including guest services regarding tour sales, refund issues, and general port and ship information.

Participates in the embarkation process by collecting immigration documentation to determine validity of documents;maintains current working knowledge of customs and immigration regulations and procedures;meets port agents and customs and immigration officials at the gangway at all ports to deliver documentation;meets the new recruits and explains the ship’s rules, regulations and onboard routines as well as briefs them on their specific duties.
