My journey in life has benefitted from a family that instilled in me a strong drive for intellectual enquiry and discipline – my mother was a maths teacher and book writer, my father a nuclear researcher. This beginning allied to a curiosity about human and people sciences led me to embark upon a professional career in marketing and market research.I spent the first years of my career in marketing management with large corporations (British Petroleum, Kodak, Carlsberg and Whirlpool), and my experience ranged from New Product Development to Advertising, from Trade Marketing to Consumer Insight.In 1996 I struck out on my own as a market researcher and founded The Marketing Lab, an independent market research agency based in Italy.Today my interests in the market research business have expanded further with partnerships and consultancy with different agencies and clients, both locally and internationally.My main goal has always been to use my skills and know-how in exploring and understanding consumers and market dynamics, helping clients to better ‘map’ their way around the marketplace. I believe that curiosity about the way people think and behave is at the base of this job and is what makes it a continuously challenging and enriching journey.I'm a member of Market Research Society, Esomar and QRCA.Specialties: Moderation of focus groups and in-depths; Ethnographic research; Qualitative and Quantitative Analysis; Research project design and management
