PhD in Environmental Sciences, inland waters and agro-ecosystems, at the University of Eastern Piedmont, Faculty of Science, Alessandria (Italy). He specializes in Applied Genetics at the University of Bologna (Italy) and was Research Fellow at the CNR (National Research Council) of Padua. Before graduating he obtained a Diploma in agriculture and at the end he won a scholarship for participation in the course in "programming of fruit and vegetable production and integrated pest management".For a few years after graduation, he worked first in laboratories of genetics and molecular biology, and then chemical and microbiological analysis of foods.For several years he worked the application of quality management systems requirements (health, safety, environment) and volunteers (ISO, self-certifications) in the food and manufacturing.
