I'm one of the two founders of Advanced & Nanomaterials Research, a RTD enterprise involved in the research and development of industrialisable nanostructured materials for several applications, and of the relevant fabrication processes via innovative and advantageous means.From 1994 I have been working in a prime multi-national Enterprise, leader in the semiconductor sector. I developed recognised skills in several research and technology fields engaged in teh Silico Industry, working inside a R&D department.My strong feeling is that nanotechnology applied to materials can represent a really disruptive breaking point not only for the technological and industrial worlds, but for the global society development and wellness.For this reason I decided about three years ago to start a complex but exciting adventure, by just founding a small and highly innovative enterprise, Advanced and Nanomaterials Research (ANMR), credited as academic spin-off of the University of Messina. My long standing personal and scientific relations with a number of other important academic researchers and labs allowed the finalisation of several concrete collaborations with Physics, Chemistry, Material Science departments and Labs.Now we are in the phase of converging our RTD efforts on the development of a defined category of nanomaterials, addressed to advanced Photovoltaics and Sensing/Catalysis, and of the new technique to produce such systems.The latter technique is in my opinion strongly promising from several viewpoints: it is easy, low-cost, easily industrialisable, tightly eco-compatible... all key factors in view of an industrial exploitation both for niche or massive productions.Specialties: technology development, industrial feasibility, material diagnostics
