InternshipEurac Research May 2014 - Oct 2014Bolzano, ItaliaThermo-optical simulation of CFS (Complex Fenestration Systems) and their integration within the building energy simulation tool TRNSYS. During the internship a new TRNSYS component (TypeDLT) that enables daylighting simulations have been developed. This new component embeds the Three-Phase Method of Radiance to perform point in time simulation using as input data the Bidirectional Scattering Distribution Function (BSDF) of the shading system. The coupled thermal and daylight routine allows for the design of controls for shading system time step-based. The work was develop within the EU FP7 project CommONEnergy. -
