I have proficient knowledge and experience in submarine pipeline/cable route design surveys, offshore well site surveys, pipeline inspections surveys, offshore geological hazard investigations, and I have performed research for archaeological data surveys. Also, I worked on the elaboration of geological maps and reports on projects concerning marine construction of harbors and coastal protection/re-nourishment (e.g., refutation of the beach in Italy’s coastal zone, and breakwater conservation).SKILLS & SCIENTIFIC THEMES- Bathymetric, geomorphological and sismostratigraphic, sequence and structural analysis of below seafloor: deriving sedimentary, eustatic and tectonic information from acoustical and seismic data.- Seafloor mapping for Geohazard assessment. Slope instability, slope / depth analysis. - Official geologic mapping of North-Western Tyrrhenian Margin (CARG Project, National Geologic Survey). - Experienced on-board in hydrographic/geophysical surveys and reporting: sonar interpretation/mosaicking, high resolution seismic mapping using various industry standard software. Data acquisition and navigation.- Analysis and interpretation of core and grab samples. - Study of the generation, propagation, reception and processing of underwater electro-acoustic signals. - Cartography and geological maps, Geological field mapping.TECHNICAL EXPERTISE- MultiBeam Reson Seabat ( series 7000 e 8000) & Sea SwathPlus.- SingleBeam Reson Navisound, Simrad EA & Odom.- Side Scan Sonar EdgeTech, Klein & C-Max 100.- SubBottom Profiler EdgeTech, GeoAcoustics; Innomar Ses-2000 Parametric.- Sparker GeoResource, GeoSpark 400; Applied Acoustic, Squid 2000 Sparker Catamaran.- Laser scanner Iliris Optech, basic knowledge.
