I led a team that was responsible for the development of a Warehouse Management System (WMS) delivered as a service (SaaS) to our customers. The goal of ELI WMS is to provide a modern cloud-based WMS that is easy to learn and use, that is integrated with several ERPs. I managed a team of six developers and was responsible for requirements gathering, product design, system architecture, and customer relations (jack of all trades). Our clients were able to manage their warehouses through ELI WMS, which ensured stock synchronization between the physical and digital warehouses. I’ve also been responsible for hiring and team skill’s growth.

I developed with the IT team the first version and subsequent iterations of the Nelson Wealth Management platform. Euclidea's goal is to democratize investment services typically dedicated to an affluent clientele and make them appealing to consumers at a fraction of the cost of traditional banking institutions. I was responsible for the development of the platform dedicated to onboarding new clients and the integration of digital signature on contracts (using Infocert and later Intesi Group thid-party APIs). I have been developing microservices using AWS Lambda and the serverless deployment tool, and I shared my experience at the Italian Pycon X conference with the talk: “Python & Serverless: Refactor your monolith piece by piece”.

In Epress I mostly worked for Paytipper (first Italian Payment Institution, later acquired by Enel X). For Paytipper I developed the system responsible for the collection of deposits made by customers using Unicredit deposit cards and a web application Registry used to manage the Paytipper’s customer information. In Epress I also contributed to Snapteam a web-based project management tool by developing REST APIs.

I worked in the Networking Team of the Vdsm project, a component of the RHEV-M solution, where I implemented two features: bonds hiding and network quality of service configurable (QoS), I also did a complete rewrite of a functional test suite that was later released to the open-source community. During this work experience I also supported some students in their internship.

I developed the first prototypes of the modelling tools (hazard modeler, catalogue tool), contributed to the OpenQuake Engine by developing a few features and improving QA test coverage. Supported the GEM scientific group by developing a few scripts used in different workshops. GEM’s goal is to build open-source seismic risk models and tools to support decision makers and insurance companies.
