My name is Gizem and I am an architect and master interior architect with over 3 years of experience working across 2016 and 2019 at some of the most renowned architecture firms in Turkey. I am a dynamic and passionate architect who always admires the design industry as a whole. Thanks to my enthusiasm for design, I can meet deadlines and work long hours if required.Studying and living in two different cities like Istanbul and Berlin enabled me to examine closely the influences of different countries and cultures on architecture. Through my classmates from all over the world who study in Bahcesehir University, I can easily adapt to multicultural environments. In this environment, I find the opportunity to develop my good communication and interpersonal skills. Living in a multicultural city like Istanbul also prepares me to work in an international office. In addition to my communication skills, I consider myself as a hard working, flexible and innovative problem solver who can design places that have the right balance between cost, function, and aesthetics.I can use a variety of design / office programs for design and achieving technical proficiency. Graduating from Bachelor Architecture and MA Interior Design, and the internships and the work experiences have prepared me to excel in this position. In addition, since I graduated, I worked as an interior designer in some of the most renowned architecture firms in Turkey. It was a great experience which allowed me to combine interior design and architecture in whole. I completed my academic studies with my thesis titled 'An Investigation on the Restorative Effects of Biophilic Effects of Biophilic Interior Design Elements of Home Environment on the Wellbeing of Individuals', inspired by my interest in lighting, material and color courses.
