Overbrook West Neighbors is a community development corporation focused on enhancing commerce throughout the Overbrook section of the Lancaster Avenue Corridor, working in partnership with our residents and stakeholders to improve the quality of life for our community, and serving as the Registered Community Organization (RCO) for the Overbrook neighborhood.

Recruited to strategically guide resource development and enhance the professionalism of proposal writing. Captured $1 million+ from donors including the Campbell Soup Foundation, the Philadelphia Foundation, Bank of America, and the NJ Division of Youth & Family Services.

Better Tomorrows provides case management services and impactful community programming to low-income adults, seniors, children, and youth. Better Tomorrows has offices located within the affordable housing developments, allowing for direct access to the populations we serve.

Responsible for increasing the visibility of the Vetri Community Partnership throughout the region and within any new markets that arise. Identifying, cultivating, soliciting and stewarding government, corporate, and private foundations to support our programs and activities. Actively engaged in establishing long-term partnerships and strengthening existing relationships with federal, state, and municipal government, corporate and foundation sector, as well as other key communities, that will result in funding for the immediate and long-term goals of the organization. Proactively seeking opportunities to generate new proposals based on foundation and government guidelines and interests, and by maintaining strong communication ties with corporate, government, and foundation donors and prospects.

Advanced to this newly-created role with this urban charter school, to define and drive the overarching fund development strategy: a 2-pronged approach to capitalize on high-profile, large-scale opportunities, as well as mid-size and small grants as supplementals. Strategically direct the development team in opportunity identification and proposal writing, successfully capturing funds to enhance out-of-school time (OST) programs, faculty initiatives, and special projects.

Captured a $2 million grant from the William Penn Foundation to launch this resource and job training center, which focused on serving former juvenile offenders. Defined and implemented a youth development agenda across several targeted areas in the Delaware Valley: Camden, Philadelphia, Chester, and Coatesville. The agenda called for providing staff of youth-serving organizations with professional development and credentialing opportunities, specifically, surrounding strategic planning, core standards, and youth leadership training. Orchestrated technical assistance through organizations including the New Jersey Juvenile Justice Commission and the United Way of Camden County, and the Ford Foundation. Supervised 10 staff.
