Inventory Control ManagerBfrich Windows & Doors Apr 2005 - Aug 2007Newark, Delaware, UsaHired into a purchasing position with dual inventory control responsibilities. As a buyer I was responsible for a turnover of between $2m-$4m of Vinyl, Wood, Screen and Aluminum raw materials for a top Window and Door manufacturer. Working closely with the companies ERP system, I had the ability to manage my own vendor contacts, design my own reporting tools and set my own safety stocks and ROP's for the perpetual inventory. Often, I was tasked to work closely with customer service and manufacturing to anticipate demands and respond quickly to stock outages. I also negotiated pricing and lead times with suppliers and placed orders appropriately. In my inventory control role I maintained an accurate perpetual inventory and helped to minimize raw material outages and monitored wasteful behavior. I developed my own reporting tools to make purchasing more efficient and worked with the management staff to make the necessary database changes during product changes or additions.
