In this role I worked as a senior flight physics trials engineer on a variety of rotary and fixed wing projects. The time spent on fixed wing exposed me to large multiple-engined aircraft, requiring me to broaden my knowledge of aircraft handling and performance, which was previously mainly limited to rotary wing.In my previous projects as a Senior Engineer, I continued to build on my previous experience as an trials engineer/FTE at QQ, whilst adopting a more responsible and more customer facing role. This involved working on the Chinook platform (various Mks) on several tasks in a lead engineer capacity. Two of these tasks involved flight trials.

Appointed lead flight test engineer for a major rotary wing test and evaluation programme. Responsible for flying activities including the planning, briefing and conduct of all the performance and handling qualities sorties. Responsible for gaining approval for test activities, including the agreement of a bespoke, expedient trials-amendment approval process with the principal FTE and Chief Test Pilot. This enabled the test team to react more dynamically to the continuously changing test requirements.
