Began working 1 October on a U.S. Government contract for Capstone Corporation at Shaw Air Force Base (South Carolina). Working in the Combined Operations Intelligence Cell of U.S. Army Central.

Rock Island Arsenal

– Recently served on a three-month assignment at Rock Island Arsenal (Illinois) supporting the Army Sustainment Command's Integrated Logistics Division as part of the Integrated Logistics Support Services (ILSS-2) contract providing logistical support to U.S. Army bases worldwide.– Previously served as a logistics consultant for potential projects at six U.S. Army bases. – As quality control and safety manager at Camp Atterbury in Indiana, served as Deputy to the Program Manager for a 300-employee DoD contract supporting the mobilization of U.S. Forces to Iraq, Afghanistan, and the Balkans. – Performed disaster response, risk management, safety, quality control, and government compliance functions; reported to Director of Army Programs at D.C. corporate headquarters. – Developed detailed composite risk matrix; analyzed and mitigated 24 known risks. – Participated in largest disaster response exercise in the history of the U.S. Midwest.

Juba, South Sudan

– Developed a project charter for a four-year, $6M U.S. Department of State-funded Public/Private Partnership (P3) agricultural development project for the Ministry of Defense in the Republic of South Sudan. – Advised a two-star South Sudanese general, who is the director for this 1,000-person industrial organization, on logistics and supply chain programs. Led strategic planning, program development, and project implementation. – Developed and implemented first-ever detailed strategic plan and annual budget ($8M) for directorate. Program included a major restructuring to bring in 130 civilian experts to replace 200 military specialists. – Led a transformation plan for the directorate that added vital program management capacities for manufacturing, mining, water resources, banking, and logistics.

Fort Mcpherson, Georgia

Chief, Plans Branch, Logistics Directorate, U.S. Army Central | Feb 2009 – Jan 2011– Led a team of 14 strategic and operational planners at Fort McPherson. Wrote, updated, coordinated, staffed, and gained approval for 20 war plans for a senior executive (three-star) headquarters whose mission is to support and sustain U.S., NATO, and Coalition Forces in Afghanistan, Iraq, and throughout Southwest Asia. – Wrote the logistical plan for the U.S. withdrawal from Iraq: met the President’s mission of getting from 100,000 down to 50,000 U.S. forces. – Coordinated with multiple U.S. and allied militaries to plan the Afghanistan buildup: met the President’s mission of bringing in an additional 30,000 U.S. forces there. Secretary of the General Staff, U.S. Army Central | Aug 2007 – Jan 2009– Led a team of 18 people. Served as Executive Administrator to the Chief of Staff in coordinating a 1,500-person staff that was in charge of 37K personnel in 12 countries. Coordinated with the Pentagon on all actions. – Played a key role in repair and renovation of a World War II-era office building housing a 1,500 person staff. – Implemented a staff-wide, web-based tracking system that reduced late or lost reports due by approximately 50%. – Conducted staff officer orientation training each month for all newly-arriving staff; trained an average class of 20 for a total trained of approximately 200 new staff personnel. Chief, Programs & Policy Branch, Logistics Directorate, U.S. Army Central | Sep 2006 – Jul 2007– Wrote, updated, and staffed logistics programs and policies. Supervised two people. – Deployed to Qatar and Kuwait as a key planning team member for the DoD’s Global Defense Posture. – Recommended organizational improvements that were adopted by the U.S. Army. – Led planning to move headquarters to Shaw Air Force base in South Carolina; helped design the new facility.

Stuttgart, Germany

– Led a team of 21 logisticians in Stuttgart. Served as executive logistics officer for a 220-person Airborne, Joint Special Operations Forces Command. Managed $18M in property. – Supervised engineering, transportation, contracting, support operations, and planning offices. Ensured command was equipped, supplied, and prepared for deployment within 14 hours. – In Sarajevo and Kosovo, turned over the organization’s complex of facilities and real estate to NATO, recovering all U.S. property and closing out all open contracts. – In Turkey, directly supervised Airdrop Operations from Turkey into Afghanistan for U.S. Special Forces, resulting in the overthrow of the Taliban regime there after 9/11. – In Ivory Coast, awarded the Humanitarian Service Medal for Planning and Coordinating the emergency evacuation of U.S. students during a Civil War.

– Served as Deputy Director of Logistics, U.S. Army Logistics Civilian Augmentation Program – Balkans. – Led a team of 50 Americans and 500+ Hungarians who supported 5,000 U.S./NATO Forces on six bases. – Managed a 200-vehicle fleet (tractors, trailers, trucks, SUVs, buses, material handling equipment) that logged 450K miles per month. Maintained fleet readiness in excess of 90% operational. – Oversaw 22 subcontracted services valued at $5M annually. – Passed all government audits – GAO, DoDIG, OSHA, AAA, DCAA, DCMA. – Contract awarded 100% award fee by U.S. government four years in a row. – Played a key role in the construction of Camps Bondsteel and Montieth in Kosovo.
