As a computational biologist I work on methods to identify genomic copy-number changes associated with treatment resistance in high-grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSOC). We use whole-genome sequencing of longitudinally collected HGSOC samples to achieve this. In addition, I work on methods that model tumour heterogeneity and subclonal tumour evolution using structural variants as part of the Pan Cancer Analysis of Whole Genomes project.

At NICTA I lead a small team of computational biologists performing integrated genomics for prostate cancer. In close collaboration with surgeons, clinicians and molecular biologists from the Australian Prostate Research Centre Epworth and Royal Melbourne Hospital, we perform analysis of whole-genome sequencing, RNA sequencing and methylation profiling of primary and metastatic prostate cancer.
