I am a modeling and simulation engineer at Idaho National Laboratory, working primarily on Integrated Energy Systems. Current research endeavors include code development for energy dispatch optimization in hybrid nuclear and renewable energy systems. I have worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Wisconsin-Madison with Dr. Ben Lindley, investigating optimal dispatch strategies for lead-cooled fast reactors with thermal energy storage. Additional case studies were conducted for coupling with concentrated solar power plants. I received my PhD from Cornell University working under the guidance of Prof. Dmitry Savransky. My thesis explored astrodynamic simulations of exoplanet-finding missions, particularly in optimizing fuel usage and improving science yields from observing schedules.
