As Technical Consultant my duties included the following :-- Implement new software installations.- To monitor all software implementations and to ensure that they are installed and configured to the highest possible level.- To ensure all customer and hardware information is collected and passed through to SAP, this is so that the service desk has sufficient understanding of how each system is installed and configured.- Document all Installations and provide detailed site attendance reports.- To ensure all aspects of the system are fully configured and tested.- To provide high level training to administrators/supervisors so that they have a good understanding on the software and the operational procedures that it is capable of.- Ensure customer satisfaction with the end product. - High level training and software implementation.- QA & Testing on NetFreight & Logging in Team Foundation Server (TFS) to ensure bugs and enhancements are functioning correctly before being delivered to customer sites.My roles also includes providing technical support to all our core and miscellaneous software applications on a first and second line support level within a typical ITIL service desk environment.

As Helpdesk Supervisor my day to day duties included the following :-- Supervisor to a team of 4 helpdesk technicians and reporting to a helpdesk manager.- To provide remote support to over 300 independent and corporate forwarders. Technical support is provided to our customers in a number of different ways. Remotely with a variation of different LogMein products, via telephone and via e-mail within agreed customer SLA's. I am also included in a team of 6 individuals that provides a 24/7 out of hours service.- Bug reporting and software tester- Onsite and remote software installation and configuration- Software trainingIn addition to my usual tasks I also assist with other miscellaneous items, this includes software installation and hardware implementation.

As a help desk technician I covered e-mail / telephone and remote support to over 300 different freight forwarders, traders and customs clearance agents across the UK.I predominantly dealt with three core business applications designed for freight forwarding and customs clearance.
