Iraq

Chief of Staff for a Brigade Combat Team in Basrah Iraq; led over a 100 man staff responsible for the command and control of a Brigade of over 3800 soldiers in combat.• Supervised and responsible for the maintenance management programs, supply accountability, and all logistic operations for over one billion dollars’ worth of equipment, vehicles, and property. • Led the planning, coordination, and execution for the Brigade’s move to Basrah to assume the 20th UK Armored Division’s mission and allow the retirement of British combat forces from Iraq. Acted as the Brigade’s primary representative and liaison with the British forces during the transition.• Led and coordinated the successful effort to stand up four dining facilities in Basrah with the capability to feed over 11,000 people three meals a day.• Supervised the establishment and multiple relocations of the Brigade Operations Center to include all networks and information and data systems.• Designated as the Brigade liaison with the Department of State Provincial Reconstruction Team (PRT). In this capacity I represented the Brigade in meetings with all Iraqi Government Officials in the Province of Basrah to include the Governor of Basrah. Responsible for the submission, tracking/monitoring, and completion of over $100M in public works projects in Basrah.

Iraq, Ft. Hood Texas, And Ft. Carson Colorado

Executive Officer and second-in-command of a Cavalry Squadron; responsible for over a 20 man staff over 500 soldiers, and $100M dollars of equipment and vehicles. • Personally led the planning, synchronization, and successful execution of the organizations relocation of all equipment, vehicles, personnel, and families from Ft. Hood, Texas to Ft. Carson, Colorado.• Led the logistical planning, execution, and synchronization of our deployment from the U.S. to Iraq and also the major relocation of our operating base while in Iraq. Synchronized and managed the maintenance and logistics system across our seven different operational locations simultaneously.• Routinely trusted with operational command and control of over half the organizations equipment and personnel.• Selected over 32 other senior officers for promotion to the Brigade Executive Officer.

Responsible for the coordination, development and continual refinement of Division level plans and operations in order to translate the commander’s vision and intent into a coherent and executable plan that has been fully integrated across all combat, logistics, and information systems.• Coordinated and synchronized planning with multi-national services, organizations, and governments on a daily basis. • Led and synchronized planning and rehearsals for deployment of the organization to Iraq and six division level operations while in Iraq.
