Principal Engineer for the SEAMS Big Data Appliance, serving a U.S. Air Force initiative to track the “Digital Thread” of engineered assets through their entire lifecycle of materials, manufacturing, usage, maintenance, and retirement. Contributions are captured in original format and evaluatedby a rules engine to apply digital transformations and extract metadata and semantics. Data is stored in a petabyte-scale archive consisting of an internally-developed graph database over Hadoop HDFS and Hbase. Apache Storm drives distributed processing over the archive with eventmanagement by HornetQ and indexing powered by Solr. An Angular-JS interface provides a user experience combining aspects of Google, Facebook, and Wolfram Alpha.Lead Developer for THEMIS Evidence and Laboratory Management system, which serves the world’s second-largest forensics lab in Lahore, Pakistan, along with a number of smaller jurisdictions throughout the United States and abroad. THEMIS is a service-oriented, workflow-based web application for tracking location and chain-of-custody for physical evidence, as well as scheduling laboratory tests and recording the heterogeneous results of those tests. The user interface is provided by a custom XForms implementation written in jQuery Mobile to provide a seamless experience across both desktops and mobile devices. Data is stored in an OpenRDF triple-store tightly integrated with an Alfresco document repository for long-term indexed retention of binary test artifacts. Web Services are defined, aggregated, and remixed with a custom distributed mashup server.

Java and C++ Development on “Workbench” product, a J2EE web portal integrating new and legacy systems that provide investment reporting for customers. Currently hold title of “Distributed Application Developer Level III” and have served as “Technical Lead” on numerous projects.
